5UNBELIEVABLY GOOD DEAL
By Robert R. Hendrickson
This has been about the best purchase I can remember. First, the activation and transfer from my old phone was done in 5 minutes by talking to an automated operator that spoke understandably. The advertised credits for days, talk, message and web were already in the phone; you don't actually get a "Minutes Card". I got this primarily for listening to music and the audio quality is great. I got the POWERAMP App, well worth the$3.99. This phone will not play WMA music files without POWERAMP. POWERAMP includes a graphic EQ. The voice quality on this phone call is perfect due to LTE:. I want to pass on one tip: you can dictate text messages but they hide the microphone icon on the keyboard. You HOLD DOWN the settings key to the left of the space bar. I am 71 and this is my first smartphone so I was expecting big problems but there were NONE. Don't let the $39 cost fool you, this phone lacks nothing. I have no idea why people spend over $800 on smartphones. Also, the new Tracfone "minutes" billing is now good for text and internet as well as voice. The average lower usage user such as myself can get Verizon service for a fraction of the cost. I will revise this review if any problems do happen, but this thing ir running rock solid. Two more tips for late-to-the party types like me: get a stylus for typing, and just FYI it runs for free on your WiFi.

4Great phone if you don't mind running lean
By A. McCullough
First off, the good points: The phone is FAST. Smooth. About the most responsive Android phone I've had yet from Tracfone. Apps fly open, the 4G connects quickly and webpages load rapidly and smoothly. As phones of this type go, it's a joy to use. Connecting it to my computer to offload files is a breeze - nothing to set, just plug in the cable and your computer sees it easily - you can copy/move stuff off with no trouble. Charges rapidly enough and holds a charge for a few days if not used, at least one day with light to moderate usage. Even uses the same charger as my last LTE smartphone from Tracfone. WiFi connection is smooth and trouble-free.
The bad thing is that the 8 gb of internal storage - while actually the same as my last phone - holds far less. I am assuming that the Lollipop operating system takes up more space than the KitKat version, because I was only able to install half the apps that I had on my previous phone (an LG Ultimate 2) and if it weren't for the ability to move apps to the SD card, I wouldn't have even the apps I have now on it. As it is, I've had to delete several apps just to make room for the others to receive updates from the Google play store. So you're forced to run this phone lean.
The thing is, though, its quad-core processor simply makes this phone feel wonderful - I almost don't mind not having the Nook app. I have that on my tablet, so at least I can still access my books.
