Know what you're getting. Manage your expectations
By J. Dunn
I ordered mine at the prerelease price. I have live streamed four contemporary church services on Facebook using public wifi and my iPhone 5s. I have it 5ft from the (elevated) stage on a mic stand. I use an external battery designed for a GoPro since I record 2-2 1/2 hrs continuously. I use the built in mic with fairly good results. Auto color balance and exposure are good inspite of frequent harsh lighting. I am generally pleased. I am very pleased with the responsiveness of the manufacturer. They have already released 2 updates. They also respond on the customer Facebook page.
Please consider your intended use and MEVO's limitations. Then lower your expectations a few notches. It does much better in good light—grainy otherwise. It's mic can't work miracles—external micing is possible at an added expense. Internet speed (upload>6) is needed for highest quality streaming. It can stream in 2 lower qualities. It is designed to be a one camera solution to streaming a multi cam event. In August 2016, it is in it's first iteration with evolving software. It hasn't met my all of expectations; but, I really like it and look forward to seeing it mature.

Neat little camera for live streaming music sessions
By R C
i needed something to live stream live performances and this little camera works like a charm with the app. it has an auto pilot mode where it pans and cuts through different angles making it look like somebody is controlling multiple cameras while it's really just the camera working on it's own. there are times where auto pilot could be a little more accurate, and i am hoping future updates will improve it. but it's super helpful when i don't have anyone to help with taking the video. i also like the fact that i can mix audio through my iphone's input and i usually go direct form the mixer. i still need to use it more... and i am tempted to buy the boost also for longer battery life. but so far so good!

Good, but still learning
So, I've been using this in action for many things, including a documentary I'm shooting. This is a great camera and great concept but I was a bit mislead by the website and some of the instruction. And I just recommend getting used to it and I now ALWAYS shoot with a second camera for cutting options.
I would love to always be able to use the app to edit myself, but I'm doing a documentary where I am doing interviews that I am in and so it does make weird decisions about camera angles sometimes. I'm figuring it out. It needs clean space and clear definition of those that will be speaking. Sometimes you'll get a random angle of a wall.
It also only produces a 720p image in the end. I guess I thought we'd get 1080p.
I wish we could pre define the angles. It does a great job of picking them and you can see them in the angle viewers and i wish we could "lock" those in and say 'don't add anymore'. But you can't, unless I'm missing something.
