Solid Gaming Mouse at Approachable Price
I've owned this mouse for over three years and have never been gentle with it. It's gone overseas stuffed in a backpack, been used as a makeshift pillow (on those late night gaming sessions where the body quits before the will...), been stepped on, dropped, left in the sun, left in the cold, and has even had an accidental steam spa session in a hotel bathroom. Now it spends its days shoved in a backpack to and from my university.
Like I said, it's never been treated gently. And yet, it's going strong. It's as responsive as the day I got it (there is zero input lag and anybody who tells you differently needs to review the he response rate of the human nervous system, which is slower than this mouse), the lettering hasn't worn off at all, and everything is in perfect working order. This mouse was a good purchase.
Ergonomics: This mouse is comfortable and really holds your hand well. My girlfriend often attempts to The side buttons are easily distinguished from one another and are comfortable to use.
Adjustable DPI: The adjustable DPI buttons are often useful for gaming. As an example, when playing Overwatch I'll set my DPI rather high when using Junkrat but drop it nice and low for Widowmaker. Or, while playing the Witcher 3, I'll adjust my DPI on the fly if I'm fighting, going through conversation options, or navigating my inventory.
Battery Life: I change the batteries on this little guy a few times a year. I can't even tell you how long they last because it's too long to track; it's just not something I ever think about. Logitech bundles the mouse with optional software that will tell you when your battery life is low, as well. It's worth noting here that I [mostly] turn the mouse off when not in use. The mouse is equipped with an energy saving mode that I never use unless my battery begins to die.
Sensor: This mouse can be used on MOST surfaces, with very few exceptions. First, the surface must be flat. Dips or bumps will affect tracking. Second, it can't be wet. Moisture can affect the senor. Besides that, I've yet to find a surface the mouse struggles with. I've even used it on fabric furniture arms for gaming, which wasn't ideal due to drag... but the mouse tracked perfectly nonetheless. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has--if you've had issues, leave me a comment. I'm curious.
Performance: The mouse has a listed response rate of 2ms. Despite the assertions of many hardcore gamers, they cannot detect lag from a device like this; a wireless mouse is absolutely adequate for gaming. The average human brain has a response ceiling at around 12ms, so claiming one can detect input lag on a 2ms mouse is ludicrous.
CONCLUSION: If you want a SOLID gaming mouse that is comfortable, durable, and versatile, that combines outstanding battery life and game-ready performance, I recommend you consider this device. It has never let me down despite the abuse I've leveled against it and I continue to use it to this day. I've had several friends buy them after playing a bit on mine, even when the price ranged between $50-$70. Now at only $40 it's a no-brainer.

Great all-round mouse with 1.5 month battery life
I have this mouse. I love it. I write this after switching to the G602 from a wired G500. I was worried about the weight, responsiveness and constant battery charging, but Logitech nailed all three.
If you're looking for specs, read the product description and marketing material. This review is purely my experience as an enthusiast user.
* World-class battery life (**I've tested 160 hours on a single battery**)
* Wireless works!
* Good build quality
* Textured grip on both sides
* Weight: If you run one battery, lighter than G700s, comparable to Naga Epic / Mamba
* Six thumb buttons, just enough to feel pampered
* No accidental thumb button presses
* Top three thumb buttons are high, slightly reduces control
What I miss from my G500:
* Free-scroll / hyper-scroll
* Lighter weight
Fine build quality. Textured grip as on other Logitech mice, with a rather short thumb rest. Mouse moves around smoothly on its pads.
Mousewheel is tactile but quiet. I still sometimes run into issues where the trigger-point for the mousewheel click gets off-center, but it eventually jiggers itself back into place. I encounter this with plenty of other mice as well, so this is not an explicit negative. Just like how omitting my beloved free-scroll is not a full negative either.
Wireless works fine, though you may need a line of sight to the receiver. It includes a USB extender.
Love the thumb buttons. They're right above where your thumb rests (easy access, no accidental tripping with a tight grip). The top three buttons are a higher than you'd expect, but I got used to it. The thumb buttons have rather pointy edges that dig in to your fingers and need a reasonable amount of force to press. This actually increases the control you have with your thumb on the buttons.
I like that because I can distinctly feel the buttons and there is no chance of accidental clicking, but it may be uncomfortable for some people or difficult to access/trigger while whipping the mouse around.
Very useful having two sets of three buttons. Mine are set up like this:
Back - Middle Click (open in a new tab) - Forward
Previous Tab - Close Tab (Ctrl-W) - Next tab
As much as I like using Vimium for no-mouse browsing, this allows super-fluid one-handed browsing. I need not explain why this is a benefit. You'll understand when you grow up.
Battery life is phenomenal. It lets you run with only one AA battery for reduced weight, which is my preference coming from a wired G500. I got used to the weight, but still run one battery because...
My experience with G602, one plain battery, performance mode, **lasted 45 days**. (It gives you a 5% warning on your computer, and lasted 3 days past that.) Estimating a conservative 25 hours a week, that's **over 160 hours of use off a single battery**.
* Razer Naga Epic: 12h
* Razer Mamba: 16h
* Logitech G700s: 10h
* Logitech G602, one battery, Performance mode: over 160h
You can get much better numbers by inserting two batteries, using a high-capacity Eneloop and switching to endurance mode, but I am perfectly okay switching out a single battery every 1.5 months. When the low battery alert surprises you that your mouse even has a battery that needs swapping, charge time is a non-issue.
A+, would buy again.

Comfortable, very configurable
Bought this mouse because I was experiencing thumb pain from using one that was too small. The thumb rest has already made a huge difference for me in just a few days. This is a big mouse, but comfortable to hold. You can "click" from almost the full length of the left and right buttons, so if you have short fingers or a small hand, you should still be able to use this mouse okay. The material feels nice in your hand, not like other mice where the soft finish often peels off over time.
The drivers (must be downloaded, there's no disc in the box) allow you to program all of the mouse buttons to various features or keystroke combinations. It's amazing, even if you're not a big gamer. You can also switch DPIs easily with the silver buttons next to the left mouse button and configure the DPI stops in the software.
I also appreciate that you can run the mouse on 1 AA battery or 2 AA batteries. The mouse came with 2 AA Duracell batteries, and there's a battery charge indicator light that illuminates when you "wake" the mouse up or switch between performance and economy mode (the dipswitch below the scroll wheel).
