Logitech ConferenceCam BCC950
Small group video conferencing has arrived everywhere. Now you can instantly transform any office or meeting space into a business-grade small group video conference room. Logitech’s ConferenceCam BCC950 is the first all-in-one video and audio conferencing device designed with small groups in mind. It combines a freestanding wide-view HD webcam with an enterprise-quality speakerphone in one easy-to-use, computer-connected device. Small groups can run their own video conferences anywhere in the office, without huddling around PC webcams or competing for time on overbooked conference room systems.
Setting the Standard
The award-winning ConferenceCam BCC950 is making high-quality group video conferencing more affordable and accessible to businesses of all sizes.
Business-grade HD video
Experience desktop video meetings so clear and razor sharp, you’ll feel like you’re face-to-face in the same room. With 1080p HD video at a smooth 30 frames per second, precision autofocus, a premium Carl Zeiss lens, and advanced auto light correction, everyone in the room can be clearly seen in professional high-quality video—even in low light or backlit conditions.
The built-in full duplex speakerphone&mndash;and integrated omni-directional microphone with both noise and echo cancellation—allow everyone in the group to hear and be heard clearly up to eight feet away from the ConferenceCam.
A 78-degree field of view and 180-degree video pan ensure that each member of the small group is seen in your meetings. You have far more freedom to move around the room, interact together, and show presentation materials than you would with the limited field of view of built-in computer webcams.
Versatile Voice & Video Control
With the included remote control and console buttons, you can instantly pan, tilt and zoom the camera to focus on the entire team, the meeting leader, or detailed close-ups of whiteboards, documents, design layouts, and product demonstrations. Easy controls for answer/end calls, volume up/down and mute are all at your fingertips.
Unlike operating highly technical conferencing systems, the Logitech ConferenceCam is so intuitive that anyone in the office can easily setup and control video meetings. There’s no software to install. Simply plug the USB cable into a PC or Mac and start the meeting using virtually any video conferencing platform.
You can immediately deploy small group video conferencing without a proprietary and expensive system to set up. ConferenceCam BCC950 works on virtually any desktop video conferencing and Unified Communications application.

Best cam on the market
This cam works great.
Being able to use a remote is way better than only being able to use sofware that eats up valuable screen space like the Orbit AF.
The speaker and mic are superb.
The auto focus works much better than the Orbit AF.
I removed one star because the software does not fully work with skype to is fullest.
The cam will not fully zoom in with skype. Also the buttons for answering calls and ending them wont work with skype. It is nice to have a remote but now you can not pan or zoom or adjust the focus with sofware at all.
I wish logitech had just added features instead of removing them for a new control style.
The cam is good but the software needs to be finished, it lacks all the controls needed. It is very easy to use but should be able to have more options to customize it if wanted.
Build a bluetooth adapter into the cam base and sell it with a bluetooth headset. I am using my Bose bluetooth headset with this and its just awesome. Perfect pic with perfect sound.

Excellent Video Conference Unit
By D. Mooney
We got this for our corporate office to be able to conduct video conference with our sales and marketing office. We were using a Logitech webcam that was meeting our needs but wanted more features. Boy did we get them! This unit is awesome. The audio is excellent and the other office can hear everyone in the room. The noise cancelling feature works great. You can pan and zoom the video with the included remote and control volume, power and other feature. Works great with Skype. We have not tried with Facetime or other video chat software.

A couple of notes.
By E. Bordas
This cam works great. I use it on a conference room for meeting of 4 to 10 people and it is a HUGE improvement over the integrated laptop cam/mic/speaker that we were using before. A couple of points to consider:
This is not just a camera. It is a camera, microphone and speaker. As a matter of fact, the biggest improvement was with the microphone. No need to raise the voice for the other party to hear you, even when sitting across the room (about 12 feet away from the cam.)
The camera was plug and play on Windows 7 with Skype. I got the video, mic, speakers, volume control, pan and tilt and the remote working immediately. However, the answer and hang call buttons didn't work out of the box. I haven't installed the included drivers or apps since I don't really need these functions and I prefer to keep my PC as clean as possible.
The little bar that raises the camera is NOT telescopic. You either have the camera plugged directly to the base or you use the extending bar to raise it about 10 inches, but no middle point and the camera will not pop up when you power it up. This is not a problem at all but it is good to know. Look at the product pictures.
The speaker is good for conferencing. It is better than my laptop speaker but not nearly as good a stand alone speaker set. I haven't tried it for anything other than voices.
In conclusion, if you Skype with more than one person in the room then this camera will make your experience much better and significantly easier. Laptop cams and mics are meant for one person only, so if this is your primarily use then you are probably better off with your integrated cam.
