All five speakers in this home theater are identical, creating a seamless blend of sound and style. Inside each modern, high-gloss black enclosure, you'll find durable, high-quality components that will provide superior performances for years to come. Each speaker is magnetically shielded - so it won't interfere with your TV picture - and can be positioned vertically or horizontally next to your HDTV or other type of flat-panel. This home theater system's subwoofer delivers class-leading, room-shaking bass thanks to a powerful digital hybrid subwoofer amplifier and a 5.25-inch driver. Featuring a sleek black high-gloss finish, this hard-hitter also includes an at your fingertips remote, so you can customize the level of bass for your room and independently control the front, rear, and center channel speaker. Sound accounts for half of the home theater experience, whether you're watching a movie or sporting event - or even playing a video game. Your TV is only one piece of the puzzle. ALL THE BAD REVIEWS:
Through my experience in electronic audio equipment , my first rule is to properly set up ( proper placement of the speakers ) and
sub-woofer . Also make sure that the input has good quality cable used in their connection . The bad reviews are really not
warranted with this unit . After following these rules I find the unit to have clean somewhat crisp sound and good bass integrity . It also can max out the power on my Mac computer with no distortion , but alas this is too loud in my apartment and I'll have to turn it down . All things considered , from reading the negative reviews
I get the impression that the speakers were not properly arranged
and care was not taken to fine tune their placement. Purchasers of this type of system should know how critical this operation is .
Best Wises .

This is a great little surround sound system

This is a great little surround sound system. When I first set the system up,there was a buzz coming from the subwoofer. I was using the headphone connection from my tv to the subwoofer with the cable that came with the unit. I then found that I had a more durable looking cable attached to a sound bar. I attached this more durable cable to the surround system and no more buzzing.

got it yesterday and it is very nice ! I may at some point try to make the wires for the speakers longer because I have such a large living room but the sound is great! I do wish the directions were a bit better too they are not any help so get someone who knows how to hook things up to help you if you are not sure. I have 2 game systems, dvd player, and a streaming device so I hooked up one at a time and made sure each worked before moving to the next but we got there and everything sounds great :)
